Bill Husak, who was hired as Director of Intercollegiate Athletics in 1998, finished his 20th year at Loyola Marymount University in 2018. During his tenure leading LMU, Husak oversaw more conference championship winning teams (35) and NCAA postseason berths (45) than any other Athletic Director in school history. Several facilities were built in Husak's tenure including golf's short game center, the Bove Boathouse for the rowing programs, softball's Smith Field, and the Lions Athletic Center. Husak added to the student-athlete experience, grew the athletic department staff, and oversaw additional fundraising and renovation projects. Husak focused on his mission of winning championships, achieving success in the classroom through graduating all student-athletes in four years and helping them grow as individuals as they move on to the next stages of their life.
