Hughes helped re-write much of the record book after a stellar four-year career from 2004-2007. She was a four-time All-WCC selection (three-time first-teamer) and two-time team captain. At time of induction, ranks amongst the top-10 in 11 LMU career categories, including second in service aces (158), kills (1683), and points (1942), and third in digs (1270). Hughes was twice named LMU Female Athlete of the Year and earned a spot on the AVCA All-Region team in 2007. She also garnered CoSIDA Academic All-District in 2007. After finishing her career at LMU, she went on to play for the US National Team (2007-10) and professionally in beach volleyball. Hughes played an integral part in helping LMU to the 2004 and 2005 NCAA Tournament.
