Represented Loyola University while establishing himself as one of the most outstanding amateur golfers on the mid to late 1930's. Won Championship of Los Angeles City & Southern California Amateur Tournaments- 1936, 1937, 1938 Won Championship of California State Amateur Tournament-1937 & 1938 Won Pacific Coast Intercollegiate Championship-1937 Was Low Qualifier in Nation for National Amateur Tournament-1937 Broke record of Legendary Golfer Bobby Jones as Alderwood Country Club in Orgeon at National Amateur Tournament in 1937.
