The 2007 LMU softball team remains the most successful in program history. The Lions finished with a program-best 47 wins (and 18 losses), won their third PCSC title, had 10 players named to the All-PCSC teams, swept the major conference awards (Coach of the Year Gary Ferrin, Player of the Year Christine Foley, Pitcher of the Year Tiffany Pagano and Co-Freshman of the Year Melissa Dykema), advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the second time, claimed their first-ever postseason victory (a 6-3 elimination game win over UC Santa Barbara) and clinched their first-ever win in 20 tries against UCLA (a 4-2 final). The team is still among one of LMU's best statistically, ranking No. 1 in wins, No. 1 in RBIs (300), No. 3 in batting average (.306), No. 2 in slugging percentage (.460), No. 6 in on-base percentage (.358), No. 5 in at-bats (1,721), No. 1 in runs scored (319), No. 2 in hits (526), No. 2 in doubles (95) and No. 6 in home runs (52).
