Andres “Willow Piriz” Murriagui was a four-time All-WCC selection, earning first teamhonors in 2002, second team honors in 1999 and 2001, and honorable mention honors in 2000. Willow was named a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) First Team All-American in 2003 and is tied for the LMU record for goals scored in a game (4 vs. Cal State LA on Sept. 28, 2001). In LMU’s record book, Willow ranks No. 5 in career points (53), No. 5 in career goals (18), No. 6 in career assists (17), No. 3 in
game-winning goals (7), No. 3 in shots (172), tied for No. 2 and No. 6 in single-season assists (8 in 2004, 7 in 2002) and No. 7 in single-season shots (51 in 2000). The Lions went 42-26-8 during his four-year career and made back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in 2001 and 2002.
