DEXTER LAKE, OR – The LMU women's rowing team competed in the Dexter Lake Invite this weekend showcasing their skills and determination once again. The race consisted of many schools like Oregon State, USC, UCLA, Gonzaga, Wisconsin, Central Florida, and Minnesota.
In the 1V4+ race, LMU secured the 7th position with a time of 7:59.0. Oregon State claimed the top spot with a time of 7:22.5, followed closely by USC at 7:28.1. Gonzaga finished in third place with a time of 7:35.3, and UCLA secured the fourth position with 7:36.6. The Wisconsin (7:37.2), Central Florida (7:39.9), and Minnesota (8:05.5).
Moving on to the 2V8+ race, LMU's team faced hard competition yet again. They finished in the 8th position with a time of 7:00.6. USC came in first showcasing an impressive time of 6:35.3. UCLA closely followed in second place with a time of 6:35.9, and Oregon State secured the third position at 6:36.5. The remaining times were Wisconsin (6:38.5), Central Florida (6:48.1), Gonzaga (6:49.2), and then Minnesota with a time of (6:58.4).
Finally, in the V8+ race, LMU put up a great effort, finishing in the 7th position with a time of 6:44.3. USC claimed the top spot, once again, completing the race in an impressive 6:24.2. Oregon State secured the second position with a time of 6:27.1, while UCLA finished third with a time of 6:30.3. The remaining times were; Gonzaga (6:36.1), Minnesota (6:37.1), Wisconsin (6:39.9) and Central Florida (6:44.6).
Overall, LMU displayed determination and grit in the face of tough competition.
