Georgia Guinan Earns WCC Postgraduate Scholarship

Full WCC Announcement

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. –
At the conclusion of each academic year, the West Coast Conference announces its major individual year-end honors as a celebration of the best and brightest to represent the Conference and its member institutions.

Today, the West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2023-2024 LMU's Georgia Guinan as the recipient of the WCC Female Postgraduate Scholarship.

Earning her degree in health and human sciences, Guinan desires to work in collegiate athletics with a goal to continue enhancing the student-athlete experience. Inspired by the athletic trainers who helped her thrive in rowing, Guinan hopes to provide similar support for future student-athletes. Guinan will pursue a master's in athletic training at Thomas Jefferson University.

She has been a member of SAAC since 2019, serving as chairperson for LMU on WCC's SAAC from 2023-24. She was the recipient of the Leader of the Pride Award, which is given to the student-athlete who displays exemplary leadership in their sport, athletic community and university relationships.

Guinan is a two-time Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar Athlete and a two-time WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient. She made the Dean's List five times and won the LMU Female Graduate Student Scholar Athlete Award.
Guinan competed on LMU's varsity eight boat for the last three seasons, earning All-WCC First Team accolades in 2021-22.
