July 21, 2015 LOS ANGELES - The LMU Sports Network is taking a quick look at the seven newcomers for LMU men's basketball. The entire team is on campus of summer classes and off-season workouts, and the first look is with junior transfer Shamar Johnson.
Johnson is a transfer from Pensacola State College in Florida and was an NJCAA All-Conference selection. He is joined by a loaded recruiting class that combined to post a record of 266-98 (73.1 winning percentage) in each of their final two seasons at the previous institution.
Joining Johnson for the 2015-16 season is National NJCAA Player of the Year and two-time NJCAA All-American Brandon Brown (Phoenix College; Phoenix, Ariz.), 2014 CCCAA All-State forward Adom Jacko (Chaffey College; Racho Cucamonga, Calif.), McDonald All-American Games nominee Jeffery McClendon (Eastside HS, Lancaster, CA), NJCAA All-Conference selection Buay Tuach (Northeast C.C.; Norfolk, Neb.) and Canadian National Team member Munis Tutu (La Lumiere School; LaPorte, Ind.).
