IN 2018-19 • SENIOR... Played in 30 games for the Lions, making a career-best 19 starts on the season… Tied for ninth all-time in program history with 115 games played for LMU… Tied his career-high with 15 points against Ohio (11/18/19) on 4-for-5 shooting and a career-best perfect 3-for-3 from three and 4-for-4 from the free throw line to help the Lions win the 2018 Jamaica Classic… Ranked eighth in the WCC with 44 steals, bringing his career total to 144, which ranks 11thall-time in program history… Recorded a career-high six steals in the PCH Cup win over Pepperdine (1/19/19)… Tied his career-high with five assists, and added a season-high six rebounds, against Pacific (1/31/19).
IN 2017-18 • JUNIOR... Played in all 31 games for the Lions, making 14 starts on the season including the final five of the season... Improved his minutes per game from 11.4 to 24.1 and doubled his scoring from 2.1 as a sophomore to 4.2... Accounted for 2.06 steals per game to not only lead the conference, but rank in the top-25 nationally in that category, and move to a tie for fourth all time in LMU single-season steals with 66 and seventh in single-season steals per game... Hit the five steal mark in the regular season-finale win against Pacific (2/24/18) and in the WCC Tournament quarterfinals against #7 Gonzaga (3/3/18)... Scored a career-high 15 points at Portland (2/3/18) on 6-for-8 shooting and 3-for-4 from long range... Tied his career-high with five assists on three occasions: vs. Portland State (12/6/17), vs. Portland (1/20/18), and at Santa Clara (2/22/18).
IN 2016-17 • SOPHOMORE... Played in 28 games for the Lions, becoming a go-to player in defensive situations for the Lions, earning big minutes in the final minutes of LMU's many close games... averages 11.4 minutes per game entering the WCC Tournament... averaging 2.2 points and 1.3 rebounds, grabbing 20 steals in the process... had a career-best 15 points in the opener against Vanguard (11/11/16)... had seven points, five rebounds and two steals in win over Santa Clara (1/7/17)... had a huge block in final seconds to help earn win at Pacific (2/25/17) in regular season finale.
IN 2015-16 • FRESHMAN... finished his freshman season playing in 26 games, earning four starts... averaged 2.2 points and 0.73 assists per contest... added 13 steals and 2.2 rebounds per game... averaged 10.1 minutes a contest for the season, played a huge role down the stretch for the Lions, averaging 17 minutes a game the last four contests of the season... played 13 minutes in the win over USF (2/20/16) and 20 in the win over Pepperdine (2/27/16)... played 37 minutes in the two games at the WCC tournament, playing 20 minutes with three points, two assists and a steal against USD (3/4/16)... had seven points, five rebounds and two assists in the win over the Waves... had six points with five rebounds in just 10 minutes at BYU (1/21/16)... played every game in non-conference, earning three starts going into WCC play... had nine points and seven rebounds against UAV (11/22/15)... entered WCC play averaging 2.6 ppg and 2.5 rpg...
BEFORE LMU... McClendon is a California high school product that averaged 25 points, seven rebounds and five assists as a senior at Eastside High School. The performance earned him on the nomination list for the 2015 McDonald's All-American games in March 2015... McClendon led Pasadena High School to a pair of conference championships as a freshman and sophomore. Family relocations had him play for Quartz Hill High School as a junior, helping the team to a share of the league title after averaging 11.8 points per game. He then moved to Lancaster and finished at Eastside High School, earning all-conference honors as a senior.
