2015-16 Season Stats BRIEFLY... Munis Tutu wraps up his second season of collegiate basketball after coming to LMU from La Lumiere School in Indiana... like the rest of the Lions in 2015-16, he got better as the season progressed. As a true freshman, he finished with 94 assists and just 35 turnovers, good for an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.69 per game. It is the best ever in LMU history and ranked fifth in the WCC (and 48th nationally).

IN 2016-17... SOPHOMORE... Finished the 2016-17 regular season playing in all 29 games, earning a start in the win over Santa Clara (1/7/17)... enters WCC tournament averaging 2.6 points and 1.2 rebounds, adding 42 assists with 24 steals... tied his career-high with four steals against Portland (2/11/17) and had a season-high six assists in the season opener against Vanguard (11/11/16)... had eight points, three assists and no turnovers against BYU at Gersten Pavilion (12/31/16) and six points, four steals, three assists and no turnovers in win at home over Portland (2/11/17)..
IN 2015-16 · FRESHMAN... finished first collegiate season playing in all 31 games for the Lions, averaging 3.9 points and 3.03 assists per contest... as mentioned, he set the school record with a 2.69 assist-to-turnover ratio, ranking fifth in the WCC... he also he is ranked 12th in the WCC in assists per game... also finished hitting 76.9 percent from three and added 26 steals... his 94 assists ranks third all-time at LMU for assists by a freshman... started the finale against Saint Mary's, playing 25 minutes... equaled a career-best with 13 points in the regular season finale against Pepperdine (2/27/16), adding six assists, six rebounds, two steals and just one turnover... played in all 29 regular season games... had a career-best eight assists against Portland (2/6/16) and had four steals in win over USD (1/23/16)... started first two games of the season in non-conference... scored 13 points against SEMO (11/28/15), playing 26 minutes, hitting 8-for-9 from the charity stripe, adding five rebounds, three assists and three steals... added another 13 against UCR (12/6/15), adding six assists while hitting all three of his three-point attempts... averaged 3.9 points and 2.6 assists per game in non-conference...
BEFORE LMU... a native of Windsor, Ontario, Canada... he played this past summer for the Canadian National Team at the U18 FIBA Americas Championships. Tutu was the team's starting point guard and he has played the last two seasons at La Lumiere School in LaPorte, Ind... In his two seasons at La Lumiere, he helped one of the nation's top programs compete for national titles while earning top-10 rankings nationally... averaged 19 points, seven assists and four rebounds at the La Lumiere Classic... Tutu is a native of Egypt, moving to Canada at nine-months. He went on to star at J.L. Forster High School in Windsor. He helped the team to a 20-1 record and the city all-star game as a freshman and then made a name for himself by averaging 24 points with seven assists as a sophomore. He then transferred to La Lumiere, becoming a Cum Laude Honor Roll student.
PERSONAL... Munis M. Tutu was born on July 1, 1996 in Cairo, Egypt... a native on Windsor, Ontario, Canada... son of Darfousa Galdo and Moe Tutu... has two brothers and two sisters... older brother played college basketball at St. Clair College in 2008-09... a Sociology major.
