LOS ANGELES - Riding a 2-1 double overtime win over UC Santa Barbara in their last outing, the LMU women's soccer team returns home to Sullivan Field to host another Big West member - Cal State Fullerton - on Sunday, Sept. 14 at 4 p.m.
The win over the Gauchos was the second straight for LMU, as well as the second straight to go into double overtime. Last year, Jenni Benger scored with 32 remaining in the second overtime period. On Sunday, Sarah Sanger would find the back of the net 39 seconds into the second overtime period.
Nikki Martino also scored in the victory, giving the Lions six different goal scorers through five matches.
Cal State Fullerton enters the week at 0-4-2 overall, earning ties against BYU and Oregon State. The Titans will travel to face Fresno Stat on Friday night before making the trip to Sullivan Field.

FUN AT THE FIELD
Sunday's men's and women's LMU soccer doubleheader will feature a number of activities and promotions for LMU students and the community.
Members of the Westchester AYSO Region 7 will be in attendance, participating in pregame introductions, halftime scrimmages and a post game autograph session with the LMU soccer teams.
Sodexo will host an Ice Cream Sundae Bar between games, offering FREE ice cream to all LMU students in attendance.
ASLMU will be giving away Fallapalooza tank tops to LMU students.
"Fear the Lions" t-shirt giveaway for First Year LMU students.

Junior midfielder Jocelyn Blankenship was named to the 2014 All-WCC Preseason Team
Callie Taylor earned the first WCC Player of the Week honor for 2014 after scoring back-to-back game winning goals against New Mexico State and Cleveland State
Sophomore Sophia Leksan posted back-to-back shutouts against Cleveland State and Oregon State
With seven goals through five matches, the Lions are already just three shy of last year's season total
The win at UCSB on Sept. 7 snapped a 14-match road losing streak for LMU. Their last road victory was a big one, however, a 3-0 upset of then No. 15 Pepperdine on Oct. 19, 2012.
SERIES HISTORY VS CAL STATE FULLERTON
The Lions and Titans have met once over each of the past four seasons and 17 times in program history. LMU has won four of the last five meetings for a 9-7-1 all-time record against CSUF. The Titans won last year's meeting, 1-0, scoring with just 1:21 remaining in regulation. Matches between the two squads have historically been a battle, and three of the last five meetings have gone into overtime.
