Zion Sensley Signs with LMU

Men's Basketball

Lions Sign Zion Sensley for 2026-27 Season

LOS ANGELES – LMU men's basketball has announced the signing of Zion Sensley after the San Carlos, Calif., native played two seasons at UC Santa Barbara.
 
Sensley is coming off a season where he played in all 32 games for the Gauchos and led the team in all rebounding categories with 52 offensive rebounds, 190 defensive rebounds, and 242 total rebounds.
 
The 6'8 guard increased his statistics across all categories between his freshman and sophomore years leading to a 2025-26 campaign where he averaged 10.8 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game over 25.1 minutes per game. Over his collegiate career, Sensley has shot an efficient 43.2 percent from the field, 35.6 percent from three, and 79.5 percent from the free throw line.
 
Prior to UCSB, Sensley played for Archbishop Riordan High School where he was ranked 87th by ESPN and 93rd by 247Sports for the Class of 2024 and named as the 2023-24 San Francisco Chronicle's Regional Player of the Year. In his senior season, Sensley led his high school to the CIF Central Coast Open Division title. He played for Team Why Not on the Nike EYBL Circuit.
 
Sensley is the first transfer to sign with LMU following the conclusion of the 2025-26 college basketball season.
