NEW YORK, NY (July 27, 2022) — LMU men's basketball will return to the Jersey Mike's Jamaica Classic in Montego Bay, Jamaica this November 18-20. The Lions will join Georgetown, Wake Forest, and La Salle in the competitive Montego Bay Division, the same Division in which LMU won two games in the 2018-19 season and left the tournament as champions.
 
The full 2022 participant list includes the return of LMU and Georgetown, and new additions Wake Forest, LaSalle, University of Wisconsin Green Bay, Morgan State, Utah Valley, and Queens University.
 
Dameane Douglas, now a senior, is the last remaining player on the Lions to have participated and won the event during the 2018-19 season. The pair of wins in Jamaica were part of the 8-0 start that season and helped start a 22-win year culminating in the College Basketball Invitational postseason berth.
 
CBS Sports Network will once again televise the tournament across the U.S. and provide streaming access online. The Jersey Mike's Jamaica Classic is presented by Van Wagner and Crown Sports Management in partnership with The Jamaica Tourism Board. Van Wagner, a leading entertainment and sports agency, will oversee sponsorships, on-site advertising, production, and game presentation.
