Karl Huhta has resigned from his position as the Director of Rowing and Women's Head Coach at Loyola Marymount University to Pursue Outside Opportunities, Athletic Director
Craig Pintens announced on May 16, 2022.

Thad Satre and
Ashley Armstrong for their guidance and leadership. They have been tremendous. I make this move as it is the right time for me, but I have loved my experience at LMU since day one and I am excited for the future of the program. Thank you to my incredible staff in
Eric Snyder,
Kirsten Girard, and
Julia Gamache. Lastly, thank you to our amazing student-athletes. I cannot wait to see all they will accomplish in the years ahead. Once a Lion, always a Lion."

Huhta joined the Lions on July 11, 2019 and has helped lead the program over the program over the last three seasons including navigating the program through the pandemic and concluding with this past weekend's West Coast Conference Championships.

Craig Pintens. "He has a tremendous care for our student-athletes. Karl's work ethic and organization will prove very successful in his next endeavor."

The Lions recently finished the West Coast Conference Championships highlighted by a runner-up finish by the Second Varsity 8+.

A national search will begin immediately for the new Women's Rowing Head Coach at LMU.
