2020-21 Division I All-District Teams
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today the 2020-21 NABC Division I All-District teams and coaches, as selected by NABC-member head coaches in NCAA Division I. LMU's
Eli Scott joins a talented group in District Nine to be named All-District Second Team. Scott becomes the first Lion to receive the recognition since Anthony Ireland in 2013-2014.
Scott adds the honor to his First Team All-WCC recognition from this season after leading the Lions in scoring, rebounding, assists, and minutes played for the second consecutive season. The senior was the only player in the West Coast Conference to average 18.0 points per game, 8.0 rebounds per game, and 3.5 assists per game.
Once conference play hit, Scott elevated his game to a new level, which a key factor in bumping LMU up from the seventh-best record in league play in 2019-20 to the third-best record in the WCC this season. In conference games only, nobody scored more that Scott this season. The Chino Hills native was the only player to average over 20 points per game league games. Scott ranked third in WCC rebounding at 7.42 per game and improved his assist numbers to 3.83 in conference play which ranked ninth. Scott also improved his field goal percentage from 49.5 percent overall this season to 51.8 percent in LMU's 12 league games.
In two WCC Tournament games, Scott took another step forward averaging 21.0 points per game to go along with 8.0 rebounds per game and 3.5 assists per game.
Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, these student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across America. The 240 student-athletes, from 24 districts, are eligible for the NABC Coaches' Division I All-America teams, to be announced later this month.
