USA Today Tabs Three Among Best in the Nation

LOS ANGELES -- USA Today, in conjunction with CollegeFactual.com, has ranked three programs within LMU athletics among the ten best in the nation for that sport. Men's Soccer has been ranked the fifth best overall men's soccer program in the nation, while women's water polo is ranked seventh and men's water polo 10th, in the latest rankings published this calendar year.

"There is no sport in the world with more professional opportunities than soccer. FIFA's most recent Big Count estimates 270 million players and officials (4% of the world's population) are actively involved in soccer. At the end of a career on the pitch or if you never make a professional team, you can find coaching opportunities on every level. You may work in sports management, marketing or merchandise. The game may also be a path to a great education. College Factual has ranked the best schools to play men's soccer by athletic success, school quality, and the academic success of athletes.
