The two-minute drill
It was a pretty big week for LMU basketball, what with wins over ninth-ranked Gonzaga and Portland. Was it just one big party down there?
Yeah. We've been waiting for something like this to happen since -- well, for me, since my freshman year. We always felt we had the ability, but we've just had a lot of injuries. The school is really fired up right now. Our student section has been great; they're coming to all the games. It's been fun, man.
Beating Gonzaga had to be especially sweet. Is it safe to say they're like the big, bad wolves of the WCC?
You've got to. They've been running the conference for the last ... I don't know, 12 years? It's been since I was in elementary school, when Casey Calvary was still playing for them. So it was very, very special.
