Feb. 17, 2006

Los Angeles, CA (Feb. 17) - Fans, and there will be plenty of them as the match-up has been sold out for a month, coming to Gersten Pavilion for the Loyola Marymount vs. No. 5 Gonzaga game are encouraged to cover the building in Crimson as the battle between the West Coast Conference's No. 1 vs. No. 2 teams is set for tip-off.

The game is finally here and it comes during Family Weekend on the campus of LMU. There is more to the WCC battle as the game will also be televised on ESPN Australia, airing at 4 p.m. Australia-Sydney time on Feb. 19. Preview: The top two teams in the WCC collide when the Gonzaga Bulldogs travel to Los Angeles to take on the Loyola Marymount Lions at Gersten Pavilion in a game televised regionally on ABC. The Zags enter the game with a perfect 10-0 conference mark and can clinch a share of their record sixth consecutive WCC regular season title with a win over the Lions. The Lions, under first-year Head Coach Rodney Tention, have been the surprise team of the WCC by winning eight of their last 10 games and the last three in a row.
