LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Sept. 20) - Senior Jennifer Horn was named to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week for her play for the week of September 12th. Horn was named the Defensive MVP of the LMU-Four Points Sheraton Culver City Tournament after scoring the game-winning goal against then-#29 Georgia, and for her part in helping LMU record two shutout victories.

It is the first career Soccer Buzz honor for Horn who was voted as the top defensive player by her team in 2004. The Lion defense has recorded three shutouts this season, including this week's 2-0 shutout of Oakland and 1-0 shutout of then-#29 Georgia. The Lions allowed just seven shots on goal for the weekend en route to going 2-0 at the tournament. Horn headed in the game-winning goal against Georgia off of a free kick from Sara Aldama.

Horn has started all eight games this season in the LMU defense, and has recorded two shots.

The Lions return to action this weekend, hosting UC Riverside on Friday at 4:00pm and Cal State Fullerton on Sunday at 1:00pm.
