LMU Softball Sits at No. 11 in D1Softball Mid-Major Rankings

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The LMU softball program continues to solidify its national presence, earning the No. 11 spot in the D1Softball Week 4 Mid-Major Rankings released this week. The Lions remain firmly positioned among the country's top non-Power Five programs, sustaining their strong early-season momentum after ranking No. 10 just one week ago.

LMU has now appeared in the Mid-Major Rankings for multiple consecutive weeks, reflecting the program's consistency, depth, and rising national reputation. The Lions' placement comes on the heels of a historic start to the 2026 campaign that has included a top-25 upset over No. 23 Washington, head coach Tairia Flowers' 150th career win at LMU, and the best 15-game start in program history.

Behind a balanced combination of shutdown pitching, timely hitting, and high-efficiency defense, LMU continues to demonstrate the qualities of a complete and competitive squad capable of contending with top programs across the country. As the highest-ranked West Coast Conference representative in recent polls, the Lions also continue to elevate the conference's visibility on the national stage.

The D1Softball Mid-Major Rankings spotlight standout programs outside the Power Five, and LMU's sustained presence in the top tier underscores both the strength of the roster and the trajectory of the program. With another challenging stretch ahead, the Lions will look to continue building on their national profile and upward momentum.
