PAUMA VALLEY, Calif. – Trevor Algya led the team on Wednesday in the final round of the Pauma Valley Invitational with a 2-under performance to finish in 16th place in the highly competitive event.
Algya shot 2-under, 69 in the third round to move to 2-under overall for the tournament and lead the Lions. He recorded four birdies in the round, including three in a row on holes three through five.
Pablo Garcia Terol (71-70-75—216), Louie Liu (74-68-75—217), and Nateesh Anatha Ganesh (74-72-76—222), and Jackson McLaughlin (76-79-75—230) all rounded out the scoring for the Lions.
The Lions also had three individuals competing as well. Adam Pederson shot a final round 68 to move up 14 positions to 79-74-68—221. Daniel Bullen (77-72-72—222) and David Gutierrez (77-74-76—227) rounded out the scoring for those individuals.
As a team, LMU tied for 14th at 293-278-294—985. The Lions tied with Toledo and stayed ahead of Colorado State by 18 strokes.
LMU will next compete at UC San Diego Invitational at Torrey Pines Golf Club from March 22-24.
