INDIANAPOLIS – LMU's Trevor Algya has been selected to compete in the NCAA Regional at the Gallery Golf Club in Marana, Arizona. Algya, following the senior's 2026 West Coast Conference Men's Golf All-Conference Team selection earlier in the day, will enter as the 3-seed among individuals in his regional.

Algya is the #144 ranked player in the country with an adjusted scoring average of 70.1. With 691-213-41 record against Division I opponents, Algya has been LMU's leader all season. The senior won the individual title at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate back in February with his 67-71-64—202 to finish 8-under.

The 2026 DI men's golf championship will feature 81 teams and 45 individuals beginning in regional competition, competing for a spot in the championship finals. Teams are split into six different regionals, with play beginning on Monday, May 18 and running through Wednesday, May 20.

The low five teams and low individual from each region will qualify for a spot in the championship finals. Thirty teams and six individuals in total will compete in the finals from Friday, May 29 to Wednesday, June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.

Algya is the 14^th Lion to earn individual selection to the NCAA Tournament. Riley Lewis advanced to the NCAA Championships out of the Morgan Hill Regional in 2023.
