MARANA, Ariz. – LMU's
Trevor Algya has completed his first round of play at the 2026 NCAA Marana Regional on Monday. The senior shot 4-over, 76 as an individual over his first 18 holes of the event. The regional is played at the Gallery Golf Club – North, a 7,317-foot course with a par 72.
Algya recorded par on each of his first five holes. He sandwiched a birdie between a pair of bogies on seven. Following a double and two bogies on the back nine, Algya got a stroke back with his birdie on 16 and two holes of par to close out the round.
With his 76, Algya is tied for 53
rd in the 75-player field. The individual will open his second round with a 9:01 AM tee time on Tuesday morning. Live scoring will be available on Scoreboard by Clippd.
The 2026 DI men's golf championship features 81 teams and 45 individuals beginning in regional competition, competing for a spot in the championship finals. Teams are split into six different regionals, with play beginning on Monday, May 18 and running through Wednesday, May 20.
The low five teams and low individual from each region will qualify for a spot in the championship finals. Thirty teams and six individuals in total will compete in the finals from Friday, May 29 to Wednesday, June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.

Algya is the 14
th Lion to earn individual selection to the NCAA Tournament. Riley Lewis advanced to the NCAA Championships out of the Morgan Hill Regional in 2023.
