LOS ANGELES - The Golden Coast Conference has announced that LMU's Anna Tarantino has been named GCC Player of the Week.

Tarantino led No. 9 LMU to a sixth-place finish in the 2026 Triton Invitational after leading the team with seven goals, five assists, four steals and nine field blocks against four top-20 opponents, including wins over No. 19 San Diego State and No. 12 and host UC San Diego. She had a goal, three assists, three steals and five field blocks against GCC rival SDSU, while scoring twice against UCSD, No. 6 Arizona State and No. 7 Long Beach State.

The Lions return home on Friday night to host No. 12 UC Irvine under the lights at Burns Aquatics Center. The game is free for fans and will air on ESPN+ beginning at 6:00 PM.

On Saturday, LMU will return to Triton Pool to face UC San Diego for the second time in as many weeks.
