LIHUE, Hawaii – Lions sit atop both the team scoreboard and the individual scoreboard following two rounds of play at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate.
LMU men's golf is now tied with No. 32 Texas A&M at the top of the team standings after repeating their score of the first day with another 4-under round and sitting at 276-276—552. The Aggies shot 5-under on Friday to reach 8-under and hold a three-stroke lead over No. 28 UNLV. The only other two schools under par are No. 19 New Mexico and No. 30 BYU who are both tied at 2-under.
Nateesh Anatha Ganesh totaled seven birdies in the second round to move his total to a tournament-high 12 through 36 holes. His 65 on Friday was the best of the day to move him 13 positions to be alone in first place at 69-65—134.
Trevor Algya remains in the top 10 after shooting 67-71—138 through two rounds. Algya added four birdies to his total in the second round.
Pablo Garcia Terol shot up 20 places to move into a tie at 26
th with his 72-69—141.
Duplicating his score from Thursday,
Louie Liu is now in a tie for 30
th at 71-71—142.
Jackson McLaughlin is in an eight-way tie for 37
th after shooting 69-74—143.
LMU's 38 birdies are three more than the next closest team.
The final round will conclude from the Ocean Course at Hokuala on Saturday. All golfers will tee off again at 11:00 AM PT / 9:00 AM PT. Live scoring will be available on Clippd.
