LOUDON, Tenn. – Three Lions recorded under par scores on the back nine holes of their second rounds of the Visit Knoxville Collegiate, led by a 69 on the day from
David Gutierrez.
Gutierrez jumped 20 positions in the leaderboard on Saturday after finishing his day with a 1-under round. Gutiérrez added birdies on the 13
th and 17
th holes to sit at 73-69—142.
Trevor Algya continues to lead the Lions and sits in a tie for 20
th with his 67-72—139. Algya shot three-under on the back nine with consecutive birdies on 11, 12, and 13.
Nateesh Anatha Ganesh also recorded three birdies in a row in his second round of play, erasing a front nine 3-over with birdies on 10, 11, and 12. Anasha Ganesh is tied for 47
th in the 90-player field at 71-72—143.
Louie Liu (73-74—147) and
Daniel Bullen (74-75—149) close out the LMU five. Both players recorded a pair of birdies on Saturday.
Collectively, LMU sits in 11
th place in the 16-team season opening event at 284-287—571. The Lions are three strokes out of the top 10.
Final tee times from Tennessee National Golf Club will begin with Bullen at 9:28 AM EST. Liu will follow at 9:39 AM local time with Anatha Ganesh, Gutierrez, and Algya all following in 11-minute increments.
