ERIE, Colo. – All five Lions in the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational closed out their tournament with a final round under par and their three round totals under all under par.
Daniel Bullen shot 3-under, 70-70-69—209 to finish the event and tie for 14
th. Bullen recorded four more birdies on Tuesday to bring his total to 13 birdies over three rounds.
Bullen tied
Trevor Algya for 14
th after Algya shot 69-69-71—209. Algya finished with the fifth-most birdies of the event with 15 after adding five more on Tuesday.
Louie Liu shot up 19 positions between rounds two and three to tie for 27
th overall after closing his day at 72-71-68—211. Liu birdied three of his final five holes.
Like Liu,
Pablo Garcia Terol lowered his round score from the first to the second to the final round. Garcia Terol shot 73-71-70—214 after a stretch of five birdies over seven holes on Tuesday.
Nateesh Anatha Ganesh also tied for 44
th at 70-74-70—214 with bookended 70s.
The Lions were one of five teams to finish the third round at 11 under par or better. LMU placed sixth with a team score of 281-281-277—839.
Competing as individuals at the concurrent Les Fowler Colorado Invitational, David Guttierez shot 1-under, 71-71-73—215, and
Adam Pedersen shot 75-72-70—217.
LMU's final event of the fall will take place at the Golf Club of Georgia for Georgia Tech's event from Oct. 24-26.
