Olympia Fields, IL – No player jumped more positions after the final round of the OFCC Fighting Illini Invitational than LMU's
Pablo Garcia Terol. The first-year Lion moved up 38 places to finish in a tie for 24
th after shooting 6-under, 64 on Sunday.
Garcia Terol put together a sting of five consecutive birdies to start his round in the shotgun start format. The sophomore transfer closed his event at 74-74-64—212 and 10 birdies, with 60 percent coming in the final round.
Trevor Algya led the Lions with his top 20 finish after shooting 70-69-72—211. Algya tied for 19
th after leading the team with 35 holes at par over the three-day event.
Nateesh Anatha Ganesh added four birdies on Sunday to finish at 71-71-73—215.
Louie Liu shot 71-75-73—219 and
Adam Pedersen closed his day at 70-76-77—223.
As a team, the Lions matched their opening day 282 and finished tied for 9
th in a field that featured all power conference schools and LMU. The Lions shot 13-over, 282-289-282—853 as a team.
LMU's next event will be the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational on Sept. 29 and 30.
