LA QUINTA, Calif. - LMU men's golf shot 10-under to close the final round of The Prestige at PGA West. The Lions returned to the top-10 of the competitive 24-field with a 285-286-274—845.
Riley Lewis recorded seven birdies over the first 10 holes to shoot his tournament-best final day 66. Lewis shot 68-70-66—204 to finish as one of five golfers at 9-under or better in the 120-player field.
Mason Snyder matched his Tuesday total with a second-straight even 71 to finish at 3-under for the event and tie for 25
th overall at 68-71-71—210.
Caden McMackin shot 15 strokes better in his final round than the day before, shooting 76-79-64—219. McMackin shot 7-under on Wednesday and closed his round with eight birdies over his final 15 holes.
Tony Hendricks opened his days with two birdies over the first four holes to shoot 73-75-73—221.
Closing out the five competing for the team was
Trevor Algya and his 79-70-74—223.
LMU tied for ninth with an overall 7-under.
The Lions also had two players competing as individuals in the Terra Lago event.
Both
Cade Anderson and
Alejandro Alonso shot their best rounds of the tournament to close the event. Anderson shot 78-75-69—222 and Alonso finished at 81-76-71—228.
