LA QUINTA, Calif. – LMU men's golf is tied for ninth at The Prestige, the loaded 24-team event played at the Greg Norman Course at PGA West. The Lions shot an opening-round 285 to sit in a three-way tie at 1-over par.
Riley Lewis and
Mason Snyder each shot 68. Lewis recorded five birdies in his opening round and Snyder added four of his own.
Tony Henricks opened with a 73 and
Caden McMackin added a 76.
Trevor Algya closed out the team members with his 79.
Competing as individuals,
Cade Anderson recorded a 78, and
Alejandro Alonso shot an 81.
The Lions will have late team times to begin the second round. Algya will tee off from 1 beginning at 11:55 AM, and the four competing as a team will follow in 11-minute increments until Lewis at 12:39 PM.
