TUCSON, Ariz. – LMU men's golf returned to play for the first time this spring with the two-day, three-round N.I.T. hosted by the University of Arizona. The Lions placed 13
th of 18 after shooting 15-under par at 286-283-280—849.
Caden McMackin shot 69-69-70—208 to tie for 23
rd overall at 8-under par. McMackin recorded 14 birdies over his 54 holes to lead the Lions.
Mason Snyder improved his scores each round in the desert. Snyder shot 73-71-66, with his final round 6-under moving him up to T-33 overall of the 96 playersT. Snyder finished his third round with four consecutive birdies and five of six birdies from 13 through 18.
Riley Lewis moved himself to 1-under for the event after finishing with a 73-70-71—214.
Trevor Algya shot 71-73-73—217 and
Tony Hendricks finished with a 78-74-74—226.
The Lions will next compete at The Prestige from Feb. 19-21 at Norman Course at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif.
