LOS ANGELES – LMU golf's
Riley Lewis has been named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, announced by the organization this week.
Lewis has recorded a career-best five top-5 finishes and seven top-10 finishes this season with a 71.46 stroke average. In his last two outings, Lewis tied for first in the WCC Championships with a 9-under and then advanced out of the NCAA Morgan Hill Regional with his three-hole playoff victory following his 4-under, tied for second overall round.
At the National Championships, Lewis will tee off in the afternoon wave on Friday, May 26. Lewis will tee off with 1:42 PM along with fellow individuals Drew Salyers of Indiana and Jonas Baumgartner of Oklahoma State.
The 2023 Academic All-District Women's At-Large Teams recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom with
Lewis and the Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees being announced June 21.
In order to qualify for the Academic All-District and All-America teams, student-athletes must have a cumulative 3.50 GPA and have competed in at least 50% of the team's competitions.
