Recorded a team-high 21 rounds over par with one win, three top-five finishes, and four top-10 finishes... Shot 2-under, 75-67-72--214, to place in a tie for eighth at the Hoakalei CC Invitational (75-67-72--214)... Tied for 15th at 4-under, 75-71-66--212, at the Lamkin Grips SD Classic (Mar. 7-8, 2022)... Started a streak of three-consecutive top-5 tournament finishes with his 11-under tie for fifth, 72-64-69--205, at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic (Apr. 5-6, 2022)... Shot a 6-under, 70-71-69--210, to tie for third at the El Macero Classic (Apr. 20-22, 2022)... Won the Individual Title a the West Coast Conference Championships (Apr. 28-30, 2202) shooting 69-70-70--209 for a 7-under finish and championship... IN 2020-21 • FRESHMAN… Broke the LMU freshman record with a 71.42 stroke average in 36 rounds at all 12 events in his first season… Recorded five top-10 finishes, four top-5 finishes, and a tournament win… Opened his career at 10-under par, 66-65-69—200 to tie for fifth at the Pasadera Collegiate Invite (Oct. 5-6, 2020)… Tied for 15th at The Rustic Canyon Collegiate Classic (Nov. 5-6, 2020) with a 5-over, 76-70-72—218 to close out his first fall semester… Shot 3-under to tie for 15th again at the Nick Watney Invitational (Feb. 8-9, 2021) with his 71-69-73—213… Runner-up finish at The Joust at Goose Creek (Feb. 22-23, 2021) with a 76-73-65—214 to help the team earn the victory… Won the Sacramento State Invitational (Mar. 1-2, 2021) in a field of 90 with an 11-under, 64-72-69—205 performance… Followed with a 12-under runner-up finish at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic (Apr. 5-6, 2021) with a score of 65-69-70—204… Tied for eighth at 5-under with a 73-71-67—211 at the El Macero Classic (Apr. 10-12, 2021)… Shot an even 75-70-71—216 at the Ping Cougar Classic (Apr. 23-24, 2021)… In his first West Coast Conference Championships (Apr. 29 – May 1, 2021) shot six under to tie for 11th with a 72-67-71—210… Qualified as an individual for the NCAA Albuquerque Regionals (May 17-19, 2021) and shot even with a 73-74-69—216… Named WCC Freshman of the Year.
Before LMU… Served as captain of the BASIS Prescott High School Golf Team for two seasons… Scoring average of about 35 over the 3 seasons (nine hole tournaments)… Won Team State Championship in 8th-grade year and 11th grade year as well as Individual State Championship all three years played on the team... Top 50 junior golfer in the country... Lowest competitive round of 9 under 62 to win JGAA Senior Classic... Low round 11 under 61... Scoring average of 70.57 over 2020 JGAA season
Personal… Lewis was born in Orange County, Calif… Son of Scott and Mayumi Lewis… Has one brother, Trevor, and one sister, Faith… Chose LMU because the academic system is amazing with the Jesuit education system, so no matter what happens should be prepared for whatever comes after college… BASIS Prescott Salutatorian... National Honors Society (NHS) 9th-12th grade… various volunteer activities with peers from high school… Helped set up for church service at 6:30 in the morning every other week from 2012-2020… Special Olympics Golf Coach from Aug-Oct 2013-2019 where he Helped coach Special Olympics athletes at golf for a couple months each year… Teachers Assistant for 8th grade honors English during 10th-grade year… Received Presidential Volunteer Service Award - Bronze in 2017… Volunteer Assistant coach during 10th grade for BASIS Prescott Golf Team… Graduated with honors from BASIS Prescott with 14 AP tests taken… National AP Scholar… AP Scholar with Distinction… Honor roll (top 15% of class) multiple times throughout high school… Math competition medals and awards from throughout Yavapai County.
