CHANDLER, Ariz. – As a team, LMU's two-under second round was tied for the best in the field and helped the Lions jump 10 positions into sixth place with one round remaining. As an individual, nobody shot a better second round than
Riley Lewis' seven-under and a better total than Lewis' 134 as the LMU junior sits atop the leaderboard at the end of 36 holes.
Lewis recorded three birdies in the first round, then followed with five more birdies and an eagle in the second round. Lewis holds a three-stroke lead with his 69-65—134 and went from a tie for 15
th after the first round to sole possession of first after the second round.
Cade Anderson shot matching 72 rounds on Monday to finish at 144 and tied for 27
th. Anderson recorded five birdies in the second round after ending the first with just one.

Tony Hendricks shot 73-74—147.
Ryder Henares is tied for 79
th at 75-76—151.
Making the biggest improvement between rounds of the 116-player field was
Brendan Gonzalez who followed his opening round 84 with a second round 75 to finish at 159.
No team shot better on Par 3 holes than LMU, who finished even on such holes. The Lions recorded 116 pars which is second-most of the field. Lewis took his lead with a 2.75 stroke average on Par 3s.
All five Lions will tee off at 7:30 AM on Tuesday for the final round from various holes.
