STOCKTON, Calif. – LMU men's golf shot 13-under par in Tuesday's second round of play at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invite. The Lions moved up two positions in the leaderboard and are now in a tie with Grand Canyon for the tournament lead at 23-under through two rounds.
LMU is the only team with four golfers at 4-under par or better. The Lions lead the field with 44 birdies and are tied for second with three eagles.
Riley Lewis leads the Lions at 66-69—135 and ranks fourth overall. Lewis closed his day on Tuesday with three consecutive birdies on 16, 17, and 18.
Tony Hendricks opened with consecutive birdies on Tuesday and added an eagle on six to sit at 70-69—139.
Also tied for 14
th at 70-69—139 is
Trevor Algya who scattered four birdies across his round to finish the day at 3-under par.
Mason Snyder finished a clear round, with four birdies, to sit in a tie for 19
th at 72-68—140.
Cade Anderson rounds out the LMU five wih his 72-74—146.
The Lions will begin the final round on the first hole at 9:09 a.m. and teeing off in nine-minute increments until Lewis swings at 9:45 a.m.
