STOCKTON, Calif. – LMU men's golf shot 10-under par with all five Lions scoring even or lower in Monday's opening round of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational
The Lions are tied for third after one round of play at 278. The leaders in the clubhouse are Utah and Grand Canyon at 275 each.
Riley Lewis sits one stroke off the tournament lead with his 66. Lewis totaled six birdies as well as an eagle on six.
Tony Hendricks added four birdies of his own and shot a 70 to place in the top-20. Also at 70 is
Trevor Algya, who used an eagle on two and three birdies to stay 2-under par.
Mason Snyder and
Cade Anderson each shot even 72 with a combined 10 birdies.
As a team, LMU's 23 total birdies are tied for the team lead.
The Lions will begin on the first hole at 9:09 a.m. and teeing off in nine minute increments until Lewis swings at 9:45 a.m.
