SAN FRANCISCO - LMU men's golf matched their second round 283 with a final round 283 to finish the USF Intercollegiate in a tie for third place. The Lions shot 287-283-283—850 over the three rounds with a tournament-high 171 combined holes at par.
Riley Lewis closed his tournament with a 69-69-72—210 to lead the team and tie for sixth overall.
Ascending to 11
th place,
Tony Hendricks recorded four birdies in his final round to finish at 71-73-69—213. No other player recorded more pars than the 41 from Hendricks.
Ryan Henares bookended his middle round with a pair of 70's to finish at 70-77-70—217 and tie for 23
rd.
Cade Anderson closed out the scoring for the Lions, finishing in a tie for 27
th with his 79-67—72—218. Anderson's 12 bridies is tied for the third most in the field.
Brendan Gonzalez shot 77-74-77—228 for the tournament.
Finishing in fourth among the individuals,
Trevor Algya shot 74-75-76—225 over the two days.
The Lions will have one more tournament this month, New Mexico's William H. Tucker Intercollegiate from Sept. 23-24.
