LOS ANGELES- Veronika Miroshnichenko, the No.1 singles phenom has elevated in the latest ITA rankings with her stellar performances, landing the No. 88 spot on Wednesday.
 
Miroshnichenko has been dominating for the Lions at the No. 1 position, currently holding a 9-1 overall record in singles and a 7-1 record with her No. 2 pair, Stefania Rogozinska-Dzik in doubles. On Mar. 15, she won WCC Singles Player of the Week for her performances against UPENN resulting in a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
 
Miroshnichenko has helped the Lions defeat several tough teams this season, including a victory over No. 4 ranked UCLA. Her most recent matches against Saint Mary's and Pacific ended in a sweep, as she defeated both opponents. She is currently 2-1 in the West Coast Conference and on a nine-game win streak. 

Miroshnichenko along with her fellow teammates are currently ranked No. 23 in ITA Rankings after only losing two matches to No. 6 ranked Pepperdine and No.18 ranked USC.
 
The Lions are currently on a three-game win streak with a record of 12-2 on the season, and 2-1 in the West Coast Conference. They reached the highest ranking in program history at the No. 17 spot, with a few more weeks of conference play remaining.
 
The Lions will travel to Portland, Ore., to face the Portland Pilots on Friday, Apr. 8, with the match set to start at 1:00 p.m. PST.
