Lions Represented Across Singles and Doubles All-WCC Teams

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The LMU women's tennis team was well represented in the 2026 West Coast Conference awards, earning multiple All-WCC selections across both singles and doubles, the conference office announced on Tuesday.

Highlighting the honors for the Lions, Lidia Gonzalez was named to the All-WCC Singles Second Team following a strong and competitive season at the top of the lineup. Gonzalez posted a 6-7 singles record, consistently facing some of the conference's toughest competition while delivering key wins in tightly contested matches and helping anchor LMU's lineup.

Kim-Michaela Zahraj also earned recognition, being named All-WCC Singles Honorable Mention. Zahraj turned in an impressive 13-4 singles record on the season, showcasing consistency and resilience while competing across multiple positions and serving as a reliable point for the Lions throughout the year.

In doubles play, the pairing of Ada Piestrzynska and Anastasia Bozova earned All-WCC Doubles Second Team honors. The duo posted an 8-8 doubles record on the season, consistently delivering for the Lions and providing stability and momentum while securing key wins against conference opponents.

The Lions' postseason recognition reflects a strong overall campaign in which LMU compiled an 11-9 record, including a 6-3 mark in WCC play, and spent four weeks ranked in the ITA Top 75 earlier this spring.

The Lions now turn their attention to the West Coast Conference Women's Tennis Championship, set for April 23-25 at Green Valley Country Club, where the Lions will look to build on their success.
