Zahraj Named CSC Academic All-District, Advances to CSC Academic All-America Ballot

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Kim-Michaela Zahraj of Loyola Marymount University women's tennis has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team and will advance as a CSC Academic All-America finalist, with the national honorees set to be announced on June 2.

A five-year member of the Lions program, Zahraj has consistently exemplified the balance of academic and athletic excellence that defines this prestigious recognition.

The CSC Academic All-District honor recognizes student-athletes for their combined excellence in the classroom and in competition, placing Zahraj among the nation's top performers in women's tennis across both areas.

On the court, Zahraj has been a veteran leader in LMU's lineup, appearing in all 22 matches this season and competing in both singles and doubles in every contest. She compiled an impressive 14-5 record in singles play while adding an 12-8 mark in doubles, underscoring her consistency, versatility, and value as a key contributor.

Her performance during the season also earned conference recognition, as she was named West Coast Conference Singles Player of the Week on February 10, 2026. Known for delivering in critical moments, Zahraj has provided steady leadership and experience throughout the year.

Zahraj's advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot places her among an elite group of student-athletes competing for one of the highest academic honors in collegiate athletics. First-, second-, and third-team selections will be voted on by CSC members and announced in early June.

Her selection reflects a sustained commitment to excellence across all aspects of the student-athlete experience, representing the highest standard of academic achievement and competitive success for LMU women's tennis.
