Los Angeles, Calif.- The LMU Lions No. 21 ranked women's tennis team (9-1) has been making noise across the nation in 2022, and look to carry the momentum into their conference matches over the next month.
The Lions are currently on an eight-game winning streak, which was sparked by an upset over No. 4 ranked UCLA, and they have not looked back since.
LMU will have a huge test this weekend as they will face two ITA ranked teams, starting with a local road trip on Saturday, Mar. 26 to the No. 5 ranked Pepperdine Waves, the Lions first West Coast Conference match on the 2022 season.
The Lions will return home on Sunday, Mar. 27 to face the No. 37 ranked Utah Utes in another competitive match.
Veronika Miroshnichenko has been a huge leader for the Lions this season. She is currently 7-1 in singles play on court 1. She is also a part of an amazing doubles pair with partner
Stefania Rogozinska-Dzik defeating their last two opponents on court 2 in landslides.
Wiktoria Rutkowska has also played well at position No. 3 winning her last match 6-1, 6-0 over DePaul. It will be exciting to see how the Lions perform against tough teams as they continue to look to make program history and conference history this season.
