LOS ANGELES - LMU Athletics thanks former women's tennis head coach Agustin Moreno for his 11 seasons leading the Lions. Moreno will accept the same position at University of Denver.
 
"Agustín has had a tremendous impact on LMU Women's Tennis, helping elevate our program on and off the court," said LMU Athletic Director Craig Pintens. "We are grateful for his leadership and the success he helped achieve, and we're excited for him as he takes this next step. We wish him nothing but success at Denver."
 
During his time at LMU, Moreno achieved significant milestones, including earning the title of 2022 West Coast Conference (WCC) Coach of the Year. Under his leadership, the Lions amassed a commendable record of 125-103. A standout moment in Moreno's career was the remarkable 2022 season, where LMU advanced to the NCAA Tournament with an 18-4 record, including a notable victory over a top-5 ranked UCLA team. 
 
Moreno's commitment to player development was evident in his coaching of Veronica Miroshnichenko, who, in 2018, became LMU Women's Tennis' first NCAA Division I All-American. Miroshnichenko's journey to the Round of 16 at the NCAA Singles Championship marked a historic achievement for the program. Moreover, from 2017 to 2023, Moreno's teams did not record double-digit losses in any season.
