LOS ANGELES – The singles phenom Veronika Miroshnichenko was named to WCC Singles Player of the Week for the first time this season, as the Lions women's tennis team has been on fire lately.
 
Miroshnichenko has helped the Lions defeat several tough teams this season, including a victory over No. 4 ranked UCLA. She is currently 6-2 in singles play on court 1. Her most recent match against UPENN included her defeating her opponent 6-1,6-1 in both match sets, as she continues to dominate court 1.
 
The Lions are 7-1 on the season, which they currently hold a six-game winning streak.  They will take on the Colorado Rams on Friday, March 18, 1:00 p.m. PST at LMU Tennis Center.
