Box Score LOS ANGELES -- The Loyola Marymount University women's tennis team defeat the UCSB Gauchos, 4-3, to improve to 5-1 on the season. 
 
The Lions started off extremely strong in doubles on court 1 as Wiktoria Rutkowska/Isabella Tcherkes-Zade got the first win of the day. After losing to the Gauchos on Court 2, Ulyana Shirokova/Eva Marie Voracek won on court 3 to give the Lions an early 1-0 lead.

The singles matches were far more intense, but the Lions were able to get a strong start.  Veronika Miroschichenko and Eva Marie Voracek got the first two victories in singles for the Lions, before losing on courts 4,5,6, leading court 3 in an all-out brawl for the win.

Wiktoria Rutkowska was able to seal the deal for the Lions in a final set match with the Gauchos.

This makes LMU's fifth victory on the season, and fourth straight as they move to 5-1 on the season.
