LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University volleyball team will add Amanda Burns to its 2021 roster, announced by head coach
Aaron Mansfield on Tuesday.
"We are thrilled to add Amanda to the program," said head coach
Aaron Mansfield. "After watching her at club tournaments and our clinics and camps, it was evident that she was fully committed to constantly improving her game. She is an extremely well-rounded player that has a really unique skill set that we are looking forward to utilizing in our gym."
A local of the Los Angeles area, Burns comes to LMU from Manhattan Beach, where she played for Mira Costa High School as a hitter and a setter. Burns led her team in kills and was named to the All-Tournament teams at tournaments in Phoenix, Ariz., and Santa Barbara, Calif.
Along with playing at Mira Costa High School, Burns also played for Sunshine Volleyball Club on the 17'S team, a top 10 team in Southern California.
Burns stands at 6-1 and will join the Lions starting in the fall.
