Sandvikens IF Release
LOS ANGELES – Following a stellar career that included All-WCC First Team and NSCAA All-West Region Second Team recognitions, LMU women's soccer's
Sarina Bolden has signed a professional contract with Sandvikens IF in Sweden.
"All of us who have had a part in Sarina's career here at LMU, both on and off the field, are very happy for her and extremely proud," said Head Coach
Michelle Myers. "Becoming a professional athlete is not easy. Many young athletes dream of playing at the highest level of their sport but when it comes time to do it, they aren't willing to put in the work, commitment or make the sacrifices it requires. Sarina stayed true to her goal and is now getting to live out her dream."
Bolden led the Lions in scoring, points, and shots both as a sophomore in 2016 and as a senior in 2018, and named LMU Offensive Player of the Year in each of those two seasons. At the end of her Lions career, Bolden ranks fifth in total career goals with 18, is tied for sixth in all-time points with 43, is tied for eighth with five game-winning goals, and ranks fifth in program history in shots attempted at 135. Bolden has two single season top-ten scoring years with six goals in both the 2016 and 2018 seasons.
"Sarina is the 10th player during my time at LMU to roster with a professional team," said Myers. "It is always nice to have former players that our current and future players can look to and aspire to follow their path (in all fields)."
Bolden also has international experience playing for the Philippines Senior National Team at World Cup Qualifying in 2018.
