FULL SCHEDULE
LOS ANGELES – The 2019 LMU women's soccer season will include an 19-game schedule, as well as a cross-town exhibition, as announced by Head Coach
Michelle Myers on Thursday. The Lions will play nine times on Sullivan Field this season.
"Every year our goal is to make the NCAA tournament," said Myers. "There are two ways that we can do that. We can get an automatic bid by winning our conference or we can earn one of the remaining 33 at-large bids. Either way we need to be able to compete with and beat teams that are in the top 50 in the nation. So, we put together a schedule that will allow us to face some of those teams in preseason and also help us in our preparation for a tough WCC conference. Last year, we also played a very competitive schedule and we had 16 games decided by 1 goal or less. This season we are looking forward to getting some of our key players that were injured last year back onto the field. We are also excited about our incoming class and how they will immediately impact our line-up. Add a few good bounces here and there, and hopefully those 1 goal decisions swing our way this year and put us where we want to be, on Nov. 11th."
The first look of the 2019 squad will be in a 7 p.m. exhibition at UCLA on Aug. 16, before LMU opens the regular season on the road for a pair of games in Pittsburgh against Pitt on Aug. 23 then at Duquesne on Aug. 25.
