CLAREMONT, Calif., -- The Loyola Marymount women's tennis team closed out its 2018-19 season on Friday afternoon, as the team fell to Pepperdine 4-1 in the semifinal round of the West Coast Conference Tennis Championship.
Starting with doubles play,
Elvira Juravliova and
Camila Tumosa fell to Satsuki Takamura and Anastasia Iamachkine on court three, 6-3
Veronika Miroshnichenko and
Eva Marie Voracek beat Ashley Lahey and Daria Kuczer on court three, 6-4.
Siohban Anderson and
Lillian Gabrielsen fell to Adrijana Lekaj and Dzina Milovanovic on court two, 7-5 clinching the doubles point for the Waves.
Down 1-0 headed into singles play, Tumosa fell to Takamura on court six, 6-0, 6-2, while Miroshnichenko fell on court one 6-3, 6-4.
Juravliova put the first singles point on the board for the Lions, as she beat Kuczer on court four, 6-2, 6-2.
Down 3-1, Yesica De Lucas fell to Iamachkine on court five, 6-4, 7-5, clinching the match for Pepperdine and ending the Lions' stint in the Conference Championship.
