The Lions opened up the match on Saturday recognizing senior Elvira Juravliova.Â

"So happy to have had Elvira Juravliova in our tennis program and have a win on her last home match," said head coach Agustin Moreno. "She was my first recruit at LMU and helped us be a top in the notch program!"Â

Opening with doubles play, Siobhan Anderson and Lillian Gabrielson swept Shannon Dos Santos and Rita Colyer 6-0 on court two. Eva Marie Voracek and Veronika Miroshnichenko beat Mya Bui and Emily Maxfield on court one, 6-4, clinching the doubles point for the Lions.Â

Lillian Gabrielson picked up the first singles point for the Lions, as she swept Dos Santos in the first set, 6-0 and won the second 6-3.Â

Miroshnichenko beat Bui 6-2, 6-2 on court one, while Yesica De Lucas picked up a quick 6-1, 6-1 win on court four to clinch the match for the Lions.Â
