LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- The Loyola Marymount women's tennis team is set for a week of matches, as the team will head to Utah to take on University of Utah and BYU, and then conclude their weekend against San Diego.
The Lions will interrupt conference play to take on Utah on Thursday, and will continue the remainder of their conference schedule on Friday against BYU and Sunday against USD.
The Lions are led by
Veronika Miroshnichenko and
Eva Marie Voracek, who are ranked No. 65 in the nation in doubles play. The pair is 7-4 on the season and have taken on several top 50 pairs.
Siobhan Anderson has put together an impressive 7-2 record in singles play, while going 3-1 in conference play from the No. 3 spot.
The Lions have not taken on the Utah Utes since 2009, where LMU was swept 7-0. Last season, the Lions swept both BYU and San Diego 4-0.
The Lions will take on the Utes Thursday at 1:30 p.m., and will then head to Provo to take on BYU on Friday at 1:00 p.m. LMU will head to San Diego on Sunday to take on the Toreros at 11 a.m.
